Women Build Week 2016 kicked off with the sound of hammers on Habitat’s job site on North Tipton in Visalia. More than 20 volunteers raised 8 walls, learning a few skills and construction tricks along the way. The work continued on Tuesday with a great group of women community leaders joining Gail Zurek, Visalia Chamber CEO. Members of the community and officials from the City and local government joined the work crew for lunch and a presentation about Habitat for Humanity and our future projects in Tulare and Kings Counties.
More than 70 volunteers worked for four days during the national event, constructing the frame of the home and starting the next great home ownership project for Habitat for Humanity of Tulare/Kings Counties.
For pictures from all four work days check out Habitat’s Women Build Gallery. We had fun taking short video clips of the volunteers working every day and created a 5 min. movie of National Women Build Week. Check out the Movie.
